When School Is Out, The Y Is In!
What you need to know:
Who: School days out is for Kindergarten to sixth grade.
When: Local school district's scheduled days off/when schools are cancelled due to snow or emergency.
Locations: School days off care is available at these select branches

- Paul & Carol David YMCA - Jackson Local (Program License #: 106591)
- Alliance Family YMCA (Program License #: 100315)
- Louisville Area YMCA (Program License #: 106596)
- Lake Community YMCA (Program License #: 106570)
Hours: 6:30 AM- 6:00 PM (Hours vary by location)
Price: For YMCA Members the price is $42 per day and for community members without a YMCA membership the price is $52 per day.
Activities Included: Gym time, swimming (varies by location), organized games, crafts, and more!
Students should bring: A packed lunch, water bottle, swimsuit, and towel.
*Children do not need to bring any toys or devices from home. Materials and supplies will be provided for all activities offered. The YMCA is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
The Y will provide: Morning and afternoon snack, all needed material and supplies, and a whole lot of fun!
School days out is not offered for all holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Memorial Day. We are also closed on Staff Professional Development Days: 10/12/2026 and 02/15/2027
School Day Out Registration is available online. You can register your child at any school day out location as long as that location has a complete registration packet on file for your child.
Late Registration Policy: Registration closes on the published deadline. Late registrations may be accepted with approval from the Childcare Director. If approved after the registration deadline, a $5.00 late registration fee per child will be added to that day's School Day Out charge.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made after the registration closing date are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after registration has closed.
