The YMCA of Central Stark County is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2026 Annual Campaign, exceeding its fundraising goal of $1,020,000 by raising an incredible $1,034,025. This achievement reflects the generosity of donors, volunteers, staff, community partners, and businesses who believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive at the YMCA.

"The success of this campaign is about much more than reaching a fundraising goal—it’s about opening doors for thousands of people across Stark County," said Rich Micelli, President & CEO of the YMCA of Central Stark County. "Every dollar donated helps ensure that children can learn to swim, families have access to quality child care, teens can build confidence through sports and leadership programs, and older adults can improve their health and remain connected to their community. Because of the investment of our donors, no one is turned away from the YMCA due to an inability to pay."

In 2025, the YMCA of Central Stark County provided $1,552,995 in financial assistance, helping more than 5,300 individuals access life-changing YMCA programs and services. Financial assistance allows children to participate in summer day camp, swim lessons, youth sports, before and after school care, and preschool programs while giving families a safe, welcoming place to learn, grow, and belong. It also provides adults and older adults access to wellness programs, chronic disease prevention classes, group exercise, and opportunities to stay active and connected.

"Our Annual Campaign represents hope for thousands of our neighbors," said Michelle Aladich, Chief Development Officer. "Every contribution, large or small, creates opportunities that strengthen families, improve health, and build a stronger community. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of everyone who chose to invest in the YMCA’s mission."

"This achievement belongs to our entire community," said Maureen Ater, Chair of the YMCA of Central Stark County Board of Trustees. "Every gift represents a belief that our YMCA matters—that it is a place where kids grow, families connect, seniors thrive, and everyone belongs. Thank you for investing in a stronger future for all."

The YMCA Annual Campaign ensures that financial circumstances never become a barrier to participation. Every donation stays local, directly benefiting children, families, and seniors throughout Stark County.

"Our volunteers, campaign leaders, staff, and donors continue to demonstrate what is possible when people come together with a shared commitment to helping others” added Micelli. “We are deeply grateful for their support and honored to continue serving our community."
