Key Qualifications
- Minimum age: 15 years old
- Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification preferred (training available for the right candidates)
- Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certifications required (or willingness to obtain)
- Positive attitude, strong team player, and a commitment to safety
Available Hours
- Weekday morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
- Weekend shifts
Lifeguard Responsibilities
- Supervise swimmers and ensure the safety of all individuals in the pool and aquatic area
- Remain vigilant, rescue ready, and proactive at all times
- Attend mandatory in-service training sessions to maintain certification and preparedness
- Promote the YMCA core values through positive interaction with members
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage: $12.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
