Parents, Camp Families & Future Campers Welcome!
For over 125 years YMCA camping has had a positive impact on children, adults, families and community leaders. Since my family and I got involved in camping over twelve years ago we have realized how this wonderful experience called camp creeps into our lives and changes us forever. When you combine the right people with good character values, a place that connects kids to nature and an atmosphere where the camper comes first, the results will shape the futures of our youth.
So when you are asking yourself, "Why should I send my child to Camp Tippecanoe?" look at some of the distinguishing points:
1. Character counts through programs that value trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring & citizenship
2. 1,100 acres of woodland beauty for campers to discover, play & make friends
3. Freedom to choose a program path that the camper will progress through over the years
4. A staff culture of excellence where the camper comes first
5. New and expanded programs for teens and leadership opportunities for campers looking to become staff
6. A progressive horse program focusing on the skill development but more importantly the experience
Don't take my word for it. Come and visit us at camp to see for yourself!
