Scholastic Support Centers
MEETING OUR COMMUNITY'S NEEDS
As the number of COVID-19 cases spikes throughout Ohio, our child care branch wants you to know that we are actively preparing to be here for your family in the event of local and state-wide closures. (Approvals from the Stark County Health Department and the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services are required before opening.)
Keeping Kids Safe
At the YMCA, we take the health and safety of your child seriously. That's why you can count on us to follow not only the mandated guidelines, but also the local and state health department best practice recommendations for child care.
ABOUT SCHOLASTIC SUPPORT CENTERS
We are proud to offer all day programming for your child in this time of need. Every day includes socially distanced games and activities, crafts, snacks, time outside (weather permitting), and help with completing school assignments.
Children are encouraged to bring their Chromebooks and classroom assignments so our staff can help keep them connected and keep them on track, making sure you don't have to worry about school work when they are at home.

To minimize the spread of germs, we are asking that completed packets are scanned and sent to email@example.com. Please do not send pictures of applications. There are many great free scanning apps for your smartphone that will make this process a breeze! If you do not have access to a smartphone or scanning device, you must schedule a packet drop off with a participating location.
All applications will be time-stamped and will only be processed when the packet has been reviewed and deemed complete. A completed packet means all boxes are filled in, medical forms are current, and any medication forms are submitted. A confirmation e-mail will be sent regarding your successful registration and start date.
REGISTRATION PACKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE HERE IF SCHOOL DISTRICTS SHUT DOWN AND SCHOLASTIC SUPPORT CENTERS BECOME AVAILABLE
