Louisville Pool Fresco
The Louisville Area YMCA boasts a six lane, 25 meter pool. Depth at the blocks is 10 feet, with a tapering at the shallows to 3 1/2 feet. Our pool is set up for swim meets, with a full timing system, starter system, and scoreboard.
Ambient air temperature in the pool room averages 82 degrees, with an average pool temperature of 84.5 degrees, which complies with the Arthritis Foundation's specifications. In addition, the pool offers a lift chair for those unable to negotiate the steps. We offer a wide variety of swim classes for all ages; group or private lessons are available. Come join us for a refreshing dip in our crystal clear water, get invigorated in a deep water aerobics class, for those of us with arthritis our Swimnastics class is the answer, bring the children on Healthy Kids Day for a ride on our fun filled "Inflate-A-Gator", or bring the family to open or family swim.
Any way you look at it, swimming is great for the entire family.
