Fall Harvest Event - Reverse Raffle / Silent Auction
The Meyers Lake YMCA will host their 15th annual Fall Harvest Reverse Raffle /Silent Auction on Thursday, September 23rd at 6:00 pm at the Meyers Lake Ballroom. The evening is packed full of fun, great fellowship and of course the excitement of discovering how the raffle will end.  Emil’s Catering will start the event with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a delicious dinner.   Patrons of the event are able to bid on an assortment of items such as: Airline tickets from Air Tran Airways, one night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, symphony tickets, gift certificate to Snow Trail Ski Resort, a security alarm system from Abbott Fire and Security, Disney Park Hopper passes, plus many other fun and useful items.  

Funds from this special event are used to support the Strong Kids Campaign which provides financial assistance to individuals and families that do not have the means to join. This year the Meyers Lake has helped over 546 individuals as well as allowing over 1000 youth to participate in special programming for youth sports and school age child care.

The committee of volunteers, chaired by Jackie Manser, hope you can attend this special night. All proceeds from this event help the Meyers Lake YMCA continue its mission of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities with a promise turning no one away due to an inability to pay.

Harry D. Callahan Educational Trust Fund

The Harry D. Callahan Education Trust Fund was established to help needy, deserving students to obtain a college education. Grants are paid to the college of choice in the name of the final candidates. The fund was establish to honor and perpetuate Harry D. Callahan as a kind, caring individual who had a concern for his fellow human beings and who, during his life had an abiding concern about the proper education of the young adults in the community in which he lived. Mr. Callahan was deeply involved in the affairs of the Catholic Youth Council for which the fund was established. The Meyers Lake YMCA has is the catalyst for awarding this scholarship on behalf of the Catholic Youth Council.
