2009 Gross Olympic Day
Our summer program is filled with games, activities, art, special guests, swimming, field trips and many other things to keep your child/ren busy. Activities are based around a Program-wide weekly theme.
Summer Day Camp is our summer program for school-age children. It is a weekly program. All activity fees, supervision, transportation and camp program shirt are included in the weekly fee. Pre-registration is required. Weekly tuition payments are due by Friday for the upcoming week. Check or Credit Card payments are the only type that will be accepted.
Hours of operation are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with extended care available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at no extra charge. Children who are here by 8:30 a.m. will not miss out on the day's activities. Watch for notices for extended field trip days.
Camp shirts are to be worn on your child's trip day. Extra camp shirts may be purchased for $5.00.
Two nutritious snacks/milk are provided daily. The Program does not provide lunch/drink in the summer. Water or 100% fruit juice is required for lunch.
As a parent/guardian, there are a few things to be aware of.
- Children must wear shoes and socks each day. No sandals or Crocs please!
- Bring a packed lunch in a reusable lunch box with an ice pack containing all of the food groups each day. No candy or pop please.
- A community sunscreen will be provided and applied each day. If your child has an allergy to a specific sunscreen, please let staff know. You will then need to provide your own sunscreen.
- Children are not permitted to have video games, cell phones, electronic devices, iPods or toys from home. Children should not have money or other valuables while in our care. Children will not be permitted to use the vending machines located in our building.
- Parent Mailboxes are located by the sign-in sheets. Please check your mailbox each day for receipts, injury incident reports and other important information. Mailboxes are alphabetical by parent's last name.
Registration is easy, download and complete the registration forms listed below and bring them to the Louisville Area YMCA.
