Our Philosophy
An important component of YMCA Youth Sports is the concept of fair play and respect for oneself, one's opponents and others involved in competition. Players, volunteer coaches, officials, and spectators share a responsibility for fair play and good sportsmanship. Good sportsmanship for the YMCA is encompassed by the concept of positive character development.
The six pillars of character, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship are standards we believe help teach participants that learning fundamentals, respecting others and having fun as a team is more valuable than winning every game. In YMCA sports, EVERY child plays, EVERY child wins!

Gymnastics
Class observation Policy: To promote a safe learning environment more conducive to learning, parents and guestsare only permitted to observe the last class of the session. Questions regarding gymnastics programs may be directed to Micki Fontes, at ext. 212.
Preschool Gymnastics
• Boys and girls (ages 2 – 5 years) learn age appropriate skills
• Events taught – floor basics, bars and beam
• Seasonal themes, music, props and mat shapes are used
• Excellent lead up and fitness skills for other future sports
• 3 – 5 Year Old Gymnastics 45 Min. class
