Welcome to The Y! Whether you are at the Y to help meet your goal for a healthier lifestyle, to participate with your child in one of our 1,000+ programs, or to become involved in your community, we are glad you are here!
You will notice this year The Y is unveiling our new look. After 43 years the black and red "bent bar and triangle logo" is being retired. The refreshed logo retains the triangle (symbolizing spirit, mind and body-the foundational elements of the Y), and includes "YMCA" to create a strong connection between our name and our identity.
One thing that is not changing is our mission; we remain committed to putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our mission is what guides us as we promote Youth Development, Healthy Lifestyles, and Social Responsibility.

BCI / FBI Background Checks:
The YMCA of Central Stark County provides background checks through Webcheck for other agencies and any individuals needing it for employment, licensing requirements, etc.
Background checks are done Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays by appointment only at the Corporate Offices. Drivers License or State Photo ID is required. Call for an appointment and quote of applicable fees 330-491-9622 x 251 or x 242. Please download and complete the BCI / FBI Waiver form and bring it with you to your appointment to expedite the process.
