The YMCA Infant & Toddler Center is just minutes from I-77. This wonderful facility enables us to provide affordable, quality, year-round, full-day child care for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years of age. The program is based on the Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers as well as follows Ohio's Infant and Toddler Guidelines.  These guidelines are a critical first step to ensuring that Ohio's smallest children have responsive, reciprocal, and respectful care. The guidelines provide a snapshot of potential milestones for each of the developmental domains: physical health, and emotional, social, motor, language and cognitive development.

Preschool Programs are offered at the North Canton YMCA Child Care Center or the Minerva YMCA Child Care Center.  The YMCA Preschool Program is based on the Creative Curriculum and designed for children ages 3 to 5.  The children are provided numerous opportunities to engage in structured activities such as creative movement; language arts; science and math readiness; as well as discovery time and free play.  Children participate in readiness activities designed to develop an excellent foundation in cognitive learning, socialization, gross motor skills and creative arts to help prepare them for Kindergarten.

The YMCA School Age Program is a before school and after school program available to children in Kindergarten through sixth grade.  The YMCA in collaboration with local school districts works to provide a safe, structured, fun environment for before and after school hours.  Snack time, crafts, homework help, and outdoor play or gym time are just some of the activities children can participate in.

No School, No Problem.  The YMCA offers Fun Club Days for children Grades K-6 on days when school is not in session.  The theme-based day of fun and adventure incorporates a variety of activities.  There will be plenty of time for arts and crafts, games, singing, and even free play.  Check with your local YMCA for days and times.

Our weekly Summer Program is for children entering grades 1-8.  The children participate in a setting which allows for exploration, crafts, singing, games, swimming, and just plain FUN! The weekly fee covers all supervision, program shirt,  field trips, and admission fees. Registration begins April 1st at all of our YMCA's.  Spots are limited so be sure to sign-up early!

Financial Assistance is available through the Ohio Departmant of Jobs and Family Services or the YMCA.  Assistance is made possible through the generous contributions from YMCA members and the United Way. Because of this, the YMCA is able to uphold it's promise to never turn anybody away due to an inability to pay.  For an application, stop by the Member Service Desk at your local YMCA or you can click here to download a Financial Assistance Application.  All applications are kept confidential.
