PROGRAM GUIDE

TEEN FATHERS' PROGRAM
In collaboration with Eric Snow andTeam Issachar, Inc., this program presents a holistic approach in addressing the needs of the teen and young adult fathers.  Topics range from practical parenting skills to having a strong relationship with their children's mother.  Held at the YMCA Teen Center, the program is FREE to all teen and adult young fathers.

CANTON YMCA CHILD CARE
The YMCA School Age Program is a before and after school program available to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.  Program hours are 6:30 am - until school begins and from the time school ends until 6:00pm.  Snack time, homework help, crafts and outdoor play or gym time keep the children busy as they have fun and make new friends.  These programs help kids grow physically, mentally and spiritually, while emphasizing and modeling character values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF STARK COUNTY
Big Brothers Big Sisters is working with organizations throught the City of Canton to provide more mentoring opportunities for area youth this fall.  For more information on the program or becoming a mentor call 330-445-1119 or click here.

  • For boys & girls ages 3 - 5 (not in Kindergarten) with parent

  • For boys & girls, grades 1 - 4
  • Learn flag football skills, terminology and game play with an emphasis on FUN!

TINY TOTS BASKETBALL PROGRAM

  • Open to all boys and girls in grade 1&2
  • Learn basic basketball fundamentals to play games with an emphasis on FUN!

CITY BASKETBALL LEAGUE: 3rd & 4th

  • Open to boys and girls in grade 3rd & 4th
  • Learn basic basketball fundamentals with more emphasis on FRIENDLY competition.

  • For men ages 21 to older
  • $500 first place prize; $250 second place prize
