About Us
A “Jackson Y” had been in the talking stages for over 20 years. Finally in 1998, after much work, a board of managers was formed and programs started. The Paul & Carol David Foundation’s generous lead gift provided the naming rights to the building. Ground was broken in September 2005. In October 2006, the beautiful 44,000 + square foot Paul & Carol David YMCA opened its doors. This full-facility branch, located in the heart of Jackson Township, is the newest building in our association.
The contemporary design of this fully-air-conditioned YMCA houses a full gymnasium, large Wellness Center with state-of-the-art equipment, an Exercise Studio, Multi-Purpose Room, Pool, Pool Viewing Room, Child Watch (babysitting) Room, a Men’s, Women’s, Boy’s and Girl’s Locker Room as well as four Family Changing Locker Rooms. We are surveillance and security-monitored to ensure your visits are as safe as possible. On the outside, there is ample, easy access parking. Within our short life span, the David YMCA has become a fixture in this community and has strong collaborative ties with our neighbors, the Jackson Township Parks and Recreation Department and Jackson Local Schools.
