The Carroll County YMCA was started in 2000 through an initiative grant from the United Way. In January of 2009, the YMCA completed a renovation project expanding its facilities to include a Wellness Center, Free Weight Room, Yoga Room, and new restroom; shower and locker areas. The gym and halls also received upgrades. The Carroll County YMCA has grown from a 30-member program site to having over 300 members and a full-service facility.
