Summer of 2017, a familiar name and face is returning to Camp Tippecanoe.  We are excited to announce that Luke Overmire has accepted the role of Summer Camp Director!  Luke is the Teen and Family Director at the North Canton YMCA, as well as a former camp counselor and camper at Tippecanoe.   

As current Tippecanoe Director, Scott Weigley said, “Luke’s time at YMCA of the Rockies, Tippecanoe, and the North Canton YMCA will help him to continue to Keep the Campfires Burning at our camp. Let us welcome Luke and his wife Krista “Turtle” Overmire and wish them good luck”

Luke will move to camp for the summer months to provide direction to Tippecanoe and return to North Canton YMCA to lead the teen and family programs during the school year.  In the upcoming weeks there will be chances for you to meet Luke, or re-connect with him, before summer camp starts.  Luke will also be visiting many of  our YMCA’s over the next several months to promote camp, watch for further details.  We are fortunate to have someone with Luke’s experience and passion for camp already on the YMCA staff.   Help us welcome Luke back to camp and ensure our campers make memories that last a lifetime.
